Previous Bank Visits Include:

Firm Visits
Throughout the academic year, GUTIC organises visits to financial institutions across the UK, ranging from investment banks to asset managers and consulting firms. These visits give members a behind-the-scenes look at how leading companies operate, while also providing valuable insights into recruitment processes and workplace culture. Firm visits are an excellent way for students to build professional connections and gain a practical understanding of life in the industry.

Investment Workshops
Our investment workshops run regularly during term time and are designed to give members hands-on experience with financial concepts and strategies. Covering topics such as stock pitches, valuation methods, trading simulations, and portfolio management, the sessions are tailored to suit both beginners and advanced participants. By blending theory with practice, the workshops help members develop the hard skills that will serve them in case competitions, internships, and beyond.
Expert Panels
Each semester, GUTIC hosts panels featuring professionals from across the financial sector, including investment banking, asset management, consulting, and fintech. These discussions offer members a chance to hear first-hand perspectives on everything finance including industry trends and the challenges shaping global markets, as well as career pathways. With interactive Q&A opportunities, expert panels allow students to engage directly with speakers and gain advice that goes beyond textbooks and lectures.
